A Life in Textiles
01.
It started at Guinevere Antiques.
Epsillion's story begins within the world of Guinevere Antiques, where Heather Weaver's fascination with textiles became an increasingly important part of the renowned antiques business.
What began with sourcing beautiful antique and vintage textiles soon became something more creative. French linens and hemp sheets were dyed and transformed into curtains and tablecloths. Vintage saris became hand gathered lampshades, quilts and cushions. Antique dhurries found new life covering trunks, furniture and objects for the home.
The philosophy was simple: find something beautiful, see its potential and give it another life.
02.
An Eye for Possibility.
For Heather, sourcing beautiful textiles was only ever the beginning. The real excitement came from seeing what they might become.
Antique French linens were dyed and transformed into curtains and tablecloths, vintage saris became hand pleated lampshades and bedcovers, while fragments of old dhurries found new life across trunks and pieces for the home. Even the smallest offcuts had potential.
This instinct to reinvent rather than simply preserve has remained at the heart of Heather’s approach, allowing the colour, pattern and character of remarkable textiles to live on in entirely new ways.
03.
Becoming Epsillion.
Over time, Heather’s world of textiles took on a life of its own.
What began within Guinevere London has evolved into Epsillion, its dedicated textile arm and a home for antique and contemporary dhurries, carefully sourced textiles and original creations for the home.
Today, that same spirit of possibility continues. Vintage saris become hand pleated lampshades, textiles inspire painted canvases and ceramics, and dhurries are reimagined through new combinations of colour, scale and pattern.
Epsillion is the natural continuation of a lifelong fascination with textiles and all that they can become.
